Bags On My Eyes
I walk a fine line between persistence and being stubborn/ The beauty of consistency and ugly when not changing nothin’/ The contrast you won’t need a slider to see/ The difference and similarities of the man I’ve chose to be/ Praying the rosary from Mardi Gras beads/ A free Spirit with a conscience that’s Holy/ Patient for my destination but don’t believe in Purgatory/ Survived the earth just to wait more is excruciatingly gory/ In my afterlife is when I’ll gain my true glory/ The beginning of that journey is the start for my story/ Would I rather be Robert Horry or Michael Jordan/ Known for making all the shots or only the 1’s that’s important/ Both go down as champion and clutch when the game is done/ But 1 had a fill in job while the other’s weighed a ton/ What’s more fun, being the Big Shot or simply The Greatest/ For someone trying out either position I’ll take it//
Closed eyes allow me to see my dreams clearer/ I tend to reflect on life better when staring at a mirror/ Fear of failure comes when I close to victory/ As I find delight even during the strangest misery/ I’m a young man with a storied history/ Full of class like high school anniversary/ So I’ll remember the day without help from Tony/ Got the eye of a Tiger destroying flakes that’s phony/ Head & Shoulders above the rest cleaned off the dandruff/
Have the game on lock now I own the pair of handcuffs/ That chain us to the seat in the back/ But it’s forward progress fuck are the refs at/ I’m a Bull in the redzone for my 1st goal/
Rose to the occasion MVP to the throne/ Obvious that Chicago’s my home/ …Don’t let me get in my zone/
